I SHARE A BOOK
REASON
There are many books that you can not buy in the shops of find in libraries in Latvia. People order them, read once and then they stand in shelves. Less wealthy people do not get equal chance. Book shelf was made to share with good things. STRUCTURE Each book giver joins book club through signed document. If person has given, he can also take. No money issue is involved, just individual sharing, so it is not breaching copyrights. Books are shared in public space - cafe. OPENING Happened on July 19, 2011 at local cafe in Riga with interactive evening lead by new and awarded theater producer Valters Sīlis, Vinnie Pooh readings by young entrepreneur Kristofers Ritovs and piano and voice performance by Marta Ritova from band Kaķis maisā. ZOO campaign
REASON
Zoo is having financial problems as many other entertainment places has arisen. Its primary goal is to educate, not so much to entertain. Empty time is the winter. CAMPAIGN Focusing in youngsters from best schools near the Zoo and main city roads. 1st step: short 5 sec animal sounds on favourite parent radio. Animal form 2D cut out outdoor appears near the roads and schools. 2nd step: press invited to the zoo where actor plays out guard of the Zoo and says that he fell asleep and animals escaped. He asks children to bring them back by bringing back photo of 2D outdoor animal. 3rd step: When brought back to the Zoo, youngster receives code for animal on phone game. Game also educates and gives option to get involved to summer schools at the Zoo. Campaign did not take place as Zoo did not wanted people to think that there can be possibility that animal can escape. |

Bank campaign
REASON
Bank handed brief to agency to develop campaign based on their recently established Fantastic Mr. Fox style for Life insurance package. It was planned to be launched in winter and speak with active professionals while on ski resorts. CAMPAIGN SOLUTION Ceiling of the cafeteria at the ski resort would be covered with indoor painting in renessance and Fantastic Mr. Fox style mixture with parodised Fantastic Mr. Fox grandfather in the heaven, correlating to christian God. On the side of the plates would be text that is thanking father for the meal. Campaign did not take place as snow that winter was not snowing for unexpectedly long time. |
Coffechiato
With the support of friends, non comercial art, music and poetry nights happened regularly once a year in Christmass time in local restaurant/bar "Andaluzijas Suns". Artists as group "Metanoia", Kaspars Dimiters, Ezra Dimiters, band "Tramplīni" and Anete Kozlovska, etc. took part.

Pie HumbertaBefore alternative book cafe closed, one discussion night was organised at "Pie Humberta". Event was organised around Christmas time about theme "What we can know about historical event of Christmas".
